TRAINING
Looking to tune up your show horse? We offer full training board with 4 lessons included with a 30-day minimum at Timber Valley Ranch located in Bellville, OH. Are you curious about a western performance discipline (reining, ranch riding, western dressage) but would like someone to help develop your horse in that sport? We offer 90-day minimum full training board with weekly lessons included so you can grow right alongside your horse. Do you have a 2-year-old sitting around with potential but aren’t sure how to give them the start they need to be a solid riding companion? We offer colt starting with a 90-day minimum, giving your horse the time to thoroughly understand the conversation and concepts needed to create a solid riding foundation. Four lessons are included in the last month of training to make sure you and your horse are on the same page and equip you with the tools to continue their growth under saddle.
Full Training Board with Lessons: $1,400/month
LESSONS
We offer lessons geared towards Reining & Ranch Riding for all levels of riders on our show horses. I teach riders how to understand their horse and why we communicate the way we do with them. I go in depth on how to use your aids to create speed control, steering, body control, and eventually the maneuvers that make up reining and ranch riding. I don’t just want to teach you to ride, I equip you with the understanding and tools to be able to confidently go out and successfully ride and create these skills in other horses down the road.
We also offer the opportunity for haul-in lessons if you would like coaching on your own personal horse.
Monthly Reining Package (4 Lessons) on CQPH Horse: $560/month
Monthly Riding/Ranch Riding Package (4 Lessons) on CQPH Horse: $400/month
One-off Scheduled Lessons on CQPH Horse: $160/1 hour lesson
Individual Training Lesson on Participant’s Horse: $100/1 hour lesson
We highly encourage signing up for packages as this gives you the time to get to know the horse you are riding and get comfortable with how they move and how they think. It also gives you the time to start becoming familiar and more comfortable with the new way of using your aids and understanding how the cues work. Additionally, it gives you time to start to understand my teaching style, and gives me time to get to know you so I can explain things in a way that is the most beneficial for you.
