Let’s work together to pick your path!

RIDE A REINER

Have you ever looked a reining horse in the show pen and thought, “Wow, I wonder what it feels like to ride a spin like that?” If that is you, we have an amazing opportunity for you! We offer lessons geared towards Reining & Ranch Riding for all levels of riders on our very own show horses. I teach riders how to understand their horse and why we communicate the way we do with them. I go in depth on how to use your aids to create speed control, steering, body control, and the maneuvers that make up reining and ranch riding. I don’t just want to teach you to ride, I equip you with the understanding and tools to be able to confidently go out and successfully ride and create these skills in other horses down the road.

Monthly Reining Package (4 Lessons) on CQPH Horse: $560/month

Monthly Riding/Ranch Riding Package (4 Lessons) on CQPH Horse: $400/month

One-off Scheduled Lessons on CQPH Horse: $160/1 hour lesson

We highly encourage signing up for packages as this gives you the time to get to know the horse you are riding and get comfortable with how they move and think. It also gives you the time to start becoming familiar and more comfortable with the new way of using your aids and understanding how the cues work. Additionally, it gives you time to start to understand my teaching style, and gives me time to get to know you so I can explain things in a way that is the most beneficial for you.

TRAINING & TUNE-UPS

Are you curious about a western performance discipline (reining, ranch riding, western dressage) but haven’t learned the tools to build and maintain the body control and maneuvers required to compete in those sports? If you are interested in having someone develop both you and your horse in that sport, we offer 90-day minimum full training board with weekly lessons included so you can grow right alongside your horse.

Looking to tune up your show horse? Though show horses are what we consider “finished”, to perform at their best, they still need down time to rest. Because of that, they need tuning back up to make sure your maneuvers work like clockwork when you are ready to walk in that show pen. We offer full training board with weekly lessons included with a 30-day minimum at Timber Valley Ranch located in Bellville, OH.

Full Training Board with Lessons: $1,400/month

TRAIN YOUR OWN HORSE

Do you have a dream of understanding what your horse is thinking and how to communicate with them? So many times horse owners are told they need to just send their horse to a trainer, or they feel they are capable of understanding how to train a horse. I believe it is possible for everyone to learn how to understand and communicate with their horse, and learn feel when using their aids to create speed control, steering, body control, and maneuvers. I break down the theory of horse training in one on one lessons to give you the tools to work with your own horse. That dream of developing that special relationship with your horse is within your reach!

COLT STARTING

Do you have a 2-year-old sitting around with potential but aren’t sure how to give them the start they need to be a solid riding companion? We offer colt starting with a 90-day minimum, giving your horse the time to thoroughly understand the conversation and concepts needed to create a solid riding foundation. I start with groundwork to teach the horse how to look to me for guidance, have awareness of their own body, and teach them how to understand the saddle and bridle with a productive mindset. The tools I give them on the ground make for an easy transition when I climb in the saddle for the first time. From there, I build out the riding time to teach forward motion, steering, body control, and beginning collection. Four lessons are included in the last month of training to make sure you and your horse are on the same page and equip you with the tools to continue their growth under saddle.
